We use ZOOM to setup our online studio, we can share music screens, markings, and it is supported on many OS and devices with little headache.

Why take lessons online?

Wondering why you would ever take lessons online? One of the first points is accessibility. Less commuting time or extra costs associated with in-home lessons, you get to work in the space you know, and it is easy to record lessons for review later. It is easier than ever before to do this as well with technology being more common place you don’t need to go get lots of fancy gear. I do recommend an external microphone (lots of affordable USB options) but we can make it work with most built in mics.

You also may not live somewhere you can find a teacher, or your schedule can be so jam-packed you only have a certain block of time to use for a lesson and can’t work in the commute to make things work. Online lessons can help make this work.
